Volleyball
Volleyball Season runs from July 15, through October 19, 2024
Camp: May 29 & 30, 2024 noon-2 pm. ($75 for camp includes tryouts and a tee shirt)
Tryouts: May 31, 2024, noon-2 pm. ($25 for tryouts only)
Location: NRG Volleyball, 1855 Lone Star Rd, Mansfield, TX 76063
Mandatory Practices begin on Monday, July 15th.
QUALITY OF PLAY
Spartans Volleyball is a competitive organization, with high school substitution rules. There is no guarantee of playing time or position and is not for those looking for a recreational level of play. We will compete against public, private, charter, and other homeschool teams. Our coaches will deem playing time based on ability, performance, skill set, and attitude toward fellow teammates, coaches, and others alike. With that being said, we are not a win-at-all-cost organization, as we want to develop and nurture our athletes to be well-balanced in mind, body, and spirit for the Glory and Honor of GOD.
AGE DIVISIONS
Our 2024 season should have:
Girls 12U, 14U, 16U, JV, and Varsity.
Boys Middle School, JV & Varsity.
We hope to have more than one team for older age groups to accommodate our number of players and different skill levels.
A player’s age group is determined by his or her age on August 1st. For example, a player who is 16 on August 1st, but turns 17 on August 2nd is considered eligible to play in the 16-and-Under age group at the National Christian HomeSchool Championships. Players may play in a higher age group, if requested by coaching staff.
FAMILY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS
We require our parents and families to help our organization in various ways. Parent training will take place at the beginning of the season. Families who don’t fulfill their volunteer hours by the end of the season will be charged a fee.
- During our three home games: 2 Line Judges, Scorebook Keeper, Libero Tracker, Scoreboard Operator, Concession Stand Workers, Admission Fee Table.
- Tournaments may ask us to help with Line Judges, Scorebook Keepers, Libero Trackers, and Scoreboard Operators.
FUNDRAISERS
Although we have done our best to keep our fees at a minimum, fundraising is still necessary to cover all expenses. Fundraising opportunities will be available throughout the season and are mandatory that EACH player participate. We will need your help in making these a great success! We also welcome any donations and sponsorships from outside individuals and/or organizations.
